At what age are you officially considered "old?"� Is it when you hit 40?� 50?� Sometimes your face and body make you feel a lot older than you should.

I don't know exactly when it happened, but it has happened.� I feel old.� Sometimes I feel really old.� I didn't think I was supposed to feel "old" until I was accepting my retirement watch.� I find myself thinking, "I'm too young to be feeling this old!"

I look in the mirror and see the lines and wrinkles.� I can't buy enough hair dye to keep up with the gray hair showing up all over my head.� I wake up in the morning and my joints are stiff and achy.� My hair is thinner.� I look so tired.� I don't have a lot of energy.� I'm only in my 40's!�

I know what I need to do...make some serious changes in my lifestyle.� I know I need to exercise.� I know I need to eat right.� I know I need to take supplements.� How do I make these changes and do these things consistently?� I know that taking a vitamin here and there, or exercising once in a while is not going to cut it.

The first thing I need to do is address the areas that need most attention, and make a commitment to correct them.� I figure that if I take care of critical issues, the problems of lesser concern might just resolve themselves.

So, if I were to make a list of the top three ssues that need addressing, I would tackle the lack of energy, the tired look and improving the appearance of my skin.

In looking for the best fix, I know that exercise is a great place to start.� If I can just promise myself that I will take a 30 minute walk, even dividing it up throughout the day, it should make a big difference.� I could walk 15 minutes in the morning, or get outside during my lunch hour and get the walk in.� Personally, this option is working out the best, because I get my exercise and fresh air, which help me get through the afternoon at work with a lot less difficulty.�

Did you know that it only takes about 30 days to form a new habit?� If you can just commit to walking 30 minutes a day for 30 days, maybe, just maybe, the new habit will be formed.� If things don't work out after 30 days, you can always go back to not exercising.

I CAN very easily have a cup of two of green tea, which gives me the all-important antioxidants which my body really needs.� I CAN very easily take supplements which will boost my immune system and collagen production, which will help me fight off illnesses that drag me down, in addition to helping rebuild the collagen in my skin.

I CAN commit to making some small, EASY changes in my lifestyle that will make a big difference in the long run.� I know that little by little, I will feel better, with my energy and glowing, fresh skin.� If I do nothing, I will continue to feel older than my years.�

I think the basic idea of wanting to look and feel younger is to recapture some of that energy, vibrance and less worn out look we had in younger days.� If you FEEL more vibrant, you will automatically LOOK more vibrant.

As with anything, if you do nothing but complain about wanting to look and feel younger, all you will have is more to complain about.� However, if you take action, you will begin to notice a real difference.�

Even here in Wisconsin, I just know that spring will be here soon.� Even today as it is snowing - yes I said snowing - I just know that one day soon, spring will arrive.

The robins are here, tulips are coming up from deep within the earth, buds are on the trees, so, I know it's just around the corner (really).

With the promise of spring comes thoughts of renewal, freshness�and just the joy of feeling the warmth of the sun (while wearing sunscreen, of course) and a brand new start.

This is the perfect time to clean out the attic, the garage, the house and spruce up the yard.� I am moved to do these things because it is a new start...and time to make everything fresh again.

What is a spring cleansing?� Well, over the winter months I tend to overeat, or at best, certainly eat foods that are not the healthiest for me.� I don't know if chip dip is in a food group, but if it is, I did a great job in achieving my recommended daily allowance!� And not just dip.�

For months,�it has been all about comfort food.� This year I decided I really loved scalloped potatoes and ham, so that was my comfort food of choice over the long, cold winter months.�

I am so ready for a spring cleansing!

A cleansing is done in order to clear toxins out of your body.� You can do a cleansing for a week, or for as long as a month.� It is just giving your body a break and a chance to get rid of all the unneccessary things that are stored up inside.�

If you observe lent, then you may be doing a form of a cleanse.� Say you give up chocolate/sweets or coffee or meat, this is the basic idea of a cleanse.
